Rajiv Bajaj launches the covers of the much awaited XCD 135cc. Bajaj XCD 135cc DTS-Si rolls out with 10.5bhp engine added with 5-Speed gearbox. XCD 135cc will come out with Style and with its comfort features which includes:Auto Choke

The bike with seems to be see a jaw dropping style of the bike and with a list of features which is give a break to its rivals. The XCD 135cc DTS-Si is priced at Rs.45000 (Ex-Showroom Delhi).
More Info: XCD DTS-Si engine produces 10.2PS of peak power @ 7500rpm and the Maximum torque of 11.58Nm at 5000rpm. The bike comes out with a longer wheelbase of 1275mm. The XCD DTS-Si will roll out in five different colours.
The company also plans to export the bike. “We will start exporting this bike in April. Until then the capacity will be utilised for the domestic market,” Bajaj Auto managing director Rajiv Bajaj said.
”Bajaj Auto has a very strong position in the entry segment and the premium segment of the motorcycle market. With the launch of the Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si and two more new products in April and July 2009, we aim to garner a strong position in the Value segment,” Bajaj Auto GM (Marketing) Amit Nandi said.
Speaking on the launch Bajaj Auto CEO (two-wheeler) S Sridhar said, “The industry is expected to witness a growth of two per cent this fiscal. Our company’s performance will also be at par with the industry but we are positive of good growth in 2009. Bajaj Auto expects to sell about 20,000 units of XCD 135 DTS-Si a month on an average but declined to set an overall sales target for the company for the year.”
“Currently about 30,000 units of motorcycles are produced but in the next five-six months it will produce full capacity of 60,000 with the shifting of the new XDC 135 there from Waluj plant at present,” he added.
XCD 135cc DTS-Si which is being said to be sporty both in its performance and styling, will be manufactured in Waluj. The production for the first month will be 8,000 units and will be increased later.
Bajaj said the bike will “fill the vacuum of Bajaj Auto’s portfolio” between the low-end and high-end two wheeler markets.
Bajaj Auto will launch the much-awaited Kawasaki Ninja this fiscal, while two other models, jointly developed by Bajaj and Kawasaki, will be launched next year.
